Raise Your Eyebrows With Brow Lift Surgery

A brow lift, also known as a forehead lift is a surgical operation to elevate the eyebrows. The underlying muscles can be trimmed reducing frown lines.  A brow lift cannot improve puffy lower eyelids or crow’s feet lines. See eyelid correction surgery and wrinkle reducing treatments for more information on these treatments.

Two Types of Brow Lift Surgery?

Coronal Eyebrow Lift

This involves a cut which will run from one ear, up across the top of your scalp and down to the other ear. If your hairline is receding, or you have little hair, you can choose to have the incision line follow your current hairline or natural skull bone pattern to minimize the visibility of any scarring.

Endoscopic Eyebrow Lift

A more modern technique that uses an endoscope (miniature camera)  inserted beneath the skin to relay images back to a screen. 5 small incisions are then made as close to your hairline as possible resulting in less scarring and less downtime after the surgery.

Which Brow Lift surgery right for you?

With a coronal brow lift, once the cut is made, underlying tissue and muscle from your forehead is removed or altered to create a smooth appearance. The skin is then gently elevated raising the position of your eyebrows. Dr. Singer will be able to see your frown muscles and reduce them as appropriate.
Having an endoscopic brow lift entails having five small incisions made in your hairline — normally one in the center, and two either side of the center. These are situated within your hairline and will be almost unnoticeable. The endoscope allows Dr. Singer to view the area without cutting across your scalp as in a coronal eyebrow lift. The endoscopic brow lift has less scarring and a quicker recovery.
Whichever brow lift surgery is right for you, it results in a more youthful and fresh appearance, increasing your confidence.

After your surgery and beyond . . .

Soreness and some pain may be felt around the incision point. This may give way to an itching sensation around the incision area which could last for as long as six months. You should also expect some bruising and swelling of the forehead. You can expect to return to social activities within one to two weeks of your surgery. Some swelling may remain for 1-2 months following surgery. Following surgery, your eyebrow will slowly descend with gravity over time into a normal position, looking raised and amazing.
